Key Colony Beach is located in the heart of the Florida Keys. It is the perfect vacation area, you’ll have direct access to the Gulf of Mexico and the Atlantic Ocean, beautiful Coral Reefs nearby, excellent fishing and diving locations and much more.Key Colony Beach is about 50 miles driving distance to Key West and It will take you about an hour and a half to get here from the mainland (Dade).

There are several public events scheduled throughout the year. The most popular is the city birthday celebration in March sponsored by the Community Association, known as Key Colony Beach Day.
It is a one day event that attracts many visitors and offers a variety of vendors, food, live music and more.
Recently the city has allowed the use of City Hall & Gazebo Parks for BPW to held its annual fund
raiser Taste of the Islands, a presentation of local cuisine, offering food samples from some of the best restaurants in the area.

There is no street delivery of mail. Residents enjoy meeting each other when they go to their on-island post office to pick up their mail. Friendly service is provided by the Clerk in Charge.
