12th Street Stormwater Project
The City of Key Colony Beach contracted Charley Toppino and Sons, Inc. to improve the Stormwater system on 12th street. You will begin to see utility companies painting the streets and up putting flags. Please do not remove or alter these markings for the duration of the project. We expect project completion on or before July 28th, 2018.
The project entails the boring of three (3) injection wells and installation of catch basins on the opposite side of the street. As per the contractor, each well will take approximately a week to complete. Working hours will be in accordance with City ordinances, Monday thru Saturday 7:30 am to 6:00 pm.
We understand this may be a short-term inconvenience and we hope to work together with you in a professional and amicable manner for the long-term improvement of your street.
At the June 14, 2018 Commissioner’s meeting, Vice-Mayor Ron Sutton gave this report:
“The stormwater project on 12th Street is going well. Wells 1 and 2 are complete with the exception of grouting the casing to the boxes and the installation of the flapper valves. The contractor is starting on well 3 today.”
