EOC Irma Recovery Conference Call:
Satellite views after the hurricane showing any damage to houses in KCB can be viewed at https://storms.ngs.noaa.gov/storms/irma/index.html. Simply call up the website and zoom in to KCB and your house.
We are working with TV88 in the Keys to video KCB when possible.
EOC NOTES:
– We are making great progress, but KCB is still dangerous with power poles and transformers down. FKEC will be on the island today (it will take many days) working these issues;
– Our team is working with FKAA to isolate leaks so we can get water pressure;
– The sewer plant is partially up with help on the way by means of our plant upgrade contractors, TLC, bringing in a crew and parts. We still are waiting on fuel for the generator or FKEC power for sustained operations;
– Still no hospital to support residents.
– The County is holding a press conference at 3:00 PM. I do not know what stations will carry this but check your national news channels (CNN, FOX, etc.).
