Key Colony Beach is located in the heart of the Florida Keys. It is the perfect family vacation setting with direct access to the Gulf of Mexico and the Atlantic Ocean for beautiful coral reefs, world class fishing, diving and much more. Key Colony Beach is a scenic one hour drive from Key West. It takes about an hour and a half, in the opposite direction, to get to the Florida Turnpike travelling through the Upper Keys and the Everglades along the way.

Many public events are scheduled in the Keys throughout the year. During the winter season, Key Colony Beach has a very active fishing and boating club and a community association that sponsor many fun events. The most popular is Key Colony Beach Day, the City’s birthday celebration scheduled in March. This one day event attracts many visitors and offers a variety of vendors, food, live music, games and more. Other popular winter activities include the lighted Christmas boat parade, free Sunday concerts in Sunset Park, the St. Patty’s Day parade and more. Summer brings the Kids Fishing Derby and July 4th celebration.

The City is also very land-recreation oriented with a challenging par 3 golf course, tennis, pickle ball and basketball courts, bocce ball, a walking path with exercise stops and three parks. Sunset Park is the perfect place to watch the sun go down while relaxing and reflecting on a great day in Key Colony Beach and the Florida Keys.
