The City of Key Colony Beach Public Works Department’s primary responsibility is the health, safety and enjoyment of its residents and visitors through the maintenance and cleanliness of the City and its Parks. This is achieved by maintaining right of ways, navigable waters, channel markers, traffic signage, storm water management, facility maintenance and repairs, landscaping, litter pickup, irrigation, and streetlight maintenance and repair. The Public Works Department also maintains city vehicles, heavy equipment and prepares the city for hurricane readiness.
Public Works aides the Key Colony Beach Police Department in addressing public safety concerns and assists the City’s Beatification Committee and Utility Board. The Department also supports and helps with many of Key Colony Beach’s public functions and events.
Like the residents of Key Colony Beach, the Public Works Department takes great pride in the aesthetics and care of the City. If it was broken and now fixed, or looked good but is now great, there is a good chance it’s because of your Public Works Department.
