01-15-2026 Update: NOAA / National Weather Service – Strong Winds and Cold Temperatures •

A cold front will move through the Florida Keys today, followed by northwest winds sustained 25 to 30 mph this afternoon. A few gusts to near 40 mph will be possible with scattered rain showers this morning through mid afternoon. These winds may blow about loose, lightweight yard objects.

Colder air will move into the Florida Keys this evening and overnight, with morning low temperatures Friday morning reaching the mid to upper 40s in the Upper Keys. Combined with northerly winds near 20 mph, wind chills are expected to be in the 40 to 45 degree range from Islamorada through Key Largo and Ocean Reef.
