Good Afternoon,
This is a final reminder that the petition deadline for the upcoming 2026 Election Cycle is approaching. All candidate petitions must be submitted to the Supervisor of Elections Office for verification no later than 12:00 PM (Noon) on May 11, 2026.
Required Steps:
• Candidates must schedule and attend an appointment with the City Clerk to complete all required paperwork, including the Appointment of Campaign Treasurer Form (DSDE-9).
• After completing the required paperwork, candidates may begin soliciting for petitions. Candidates may also open a campaign bank account, which is required in order to pay for petition verification by writing a check to the Supervisor of Elections.
• Completed petitions must be submitted to the Supervisor of Elections Office for verification by the deadline.
Please note: Petition verification services must be paid with a campaign check, and petitions cannot be verified without it.
