The City of Key Colony Beach invites all residents (property owners or long-term renters) to apply for a vacant seat on the City Commission. Commissioner/Vice-Mayor Joey Raspe resigned on June 23, 2025, creating this vacancy.
The City is accepting applications for consideration to fill the vacant seat until the next general election scheduled for November 2026. If the majority of the remaining Commission members cannot agree on a candidate to fill the vacancy, a special election will be called for that purpose.
Please submit a letter of interest, resume, or any other appropriate documents to the City Clerk at cityclerk@keycolonybeach.net no later than
Wednesday, July 16, 2025, by 4:00 p.m.
Interested candidates are encouraged to complete an ‘Application for City Commissioner’, which should be submitted along with their letter of interest. Applications are available for pickup at City Hall or are available on our website.
Applicants will be considered for appointment at the next City Commission Regular Meeting & Public Hearing on
