Tropical Storm Elsa – July 5, 2021 Update

Tropical Storm Elsa is trending west which in turn is lowering the likelihood for the City of Key Colony Beach to experience sustained damaging winds.  However, be prepared for heavy squalls with possible damaging wind gusts and substantial rainfall resulting in street flooding and potential power outages. The timeframe for TS Elsa remains sunset today through mid to late morning tomorrow.

Reminders: Please double line your boats with slack for possible surges 1-2 feet higher than normal. Secure all loose items on your property or rental unit. Charge all of your electronic devices. And please stay off the roads during the storm unless it is an emergency.

As always, the KCB Police, Public Works and Administration will monitoring and taking all necessary steps to protect our City its residents and visitors.

Thank you to our Mayor and Commissioners for their dedication and calm, steady support during this State of Emergency.
