The Boil Water Notice has been lifted for Key Colony Beach.
The city hotline (305) 743-0908 is not currently working. Please use the City’s Main # (305) 289-1212 to contact the City.
The City has called a special meeting on Monday, September 25th, at 10AM. The Agenda includes: 1.) Hiring a structural engineer for the City. 2.) Damage Assessment Protocol and Process, and 3.) Review Top 10 list of recovery issues for the City.
The second budget hearing for the 2017/2018 Budget is continued until October 12th at 5:05pm, at City Hall.
Come to City Hall if you need your power turned on. Remember, if your power wasn’t restored, it could be that you have had salt water intrusion or another unsafe hazard exists. You need to call an electrician to have your meter or other service inspected.
The curfew in greater Marathon is set at midnight through 6am. There will remain a strong police presence in Key Colony Beach and the causeway bridge will have a checkpoint until further notice.
Remember to separate your debris, especially all white goods (air conditioners, refrigerators, stoves, etc., which used to be white. Despite their availability in varied colors now, they are still called white goods.). Duct tape all doors on white goods. Separate all vegetation from construction debris (furniture, drywall, carpet, etc…) Additionally, all household hazardous waste need separated (cleaning products, bleach, pesticides, paint, etc…).
