We are currently in a TS warning and Hurricane watch. The watch is because Eta’s winds are near hurricane force and it is expected to hold it’s strength. We are also in a storm surge watch, but predictions for KCB have not changed from the 1 to 2 feet previously predicted. As with wind, always prepare for one level higher. I am preparing for 3 feet.
TS winds are expected to arrive from 2 PM Sunday to late Sunday night. Isolated tornados are also forecasted.
Rainfall totals are expected in the 6 to 12 inch range with 18 inches possible.
Shelters will open at 12 noon Sunday and COVID protocols will be enforced. Rapid testing will also be available.
