From the National Weather Service:
The latest briefing concerning Tropical Depression Two over the northeastern Gulf of Mexico is attached and posted at: https://www.weather.gov/media/key/DSS/dssbrief_land.pdf
No direct impacts are forecast over the Florida Keys from this system. However, tropical moisture ahead of an upper-level trough of low pressure over the eastern Gulf of Mexico will keep higher-than-normal rain and thunderstorm chances through at least Friday. A few heavy downpours and brief gusty winds may occur with any thunderstorms. Drier air moving over the Keys from the southwest and west will decrease rain chances this weekend.
