Wastewater Sampling Update for Concern Virus’s – October 23, 2023

• SARS-CoV-2 Virus – Covid -19
  • General overview data from CDC and Florida Dept of Health websites:
    • CDC Hospitalizations Summary – 147 cases, -22.6 % decrease (Broward, Miami-Dade, and Monroe County data together, data through 14Oc23).
    • CDC Death rates due to Covid-19 in the last week for Florida, 2.4%, a 4% decrease from last week (data through 14Oc23)
    • Florida Department of Health Weekly Situation Report (data for week 06Oc23 – 12Oc23). Starting in November, more frequent updates will be available. No new data this week, Florida Report published every two weeks:
      • Overall State of Florida – 6,380 new cases (decreasing)
        • Monroe County – 15 new cases (decreasing)
        • Dade County – 725 new cases (decreasing)
        • Broward County – 440 new cases (decreasing)
