Monroe County Florida Keys Weather Briefing for 1/23/2025

This weather briefing is for emergency management and critical infrastructure core partners serving the Florida Keys of Monroe County.
Bottom Line:
The combination of cool air temperatures falling into the upper 40s to lower 50s and strong northerly winds will combine to produce wind chills into the 40 to 45 degree range late Friday night and Saturday. These conditions are currently expected to remain above the threshold of a Cold Weather Advisory for the Florida Keys of Monroe County.
The highest chance for these wind chills to be realized will be across the Upper Florida Keys, from Ocean Reef through Islamorada. There is a medium possibility for wind chills to reach these levels over the interior portions of the larger Lower Keys, including Upper Sugarloaf, Cudjoe, Big Torch, Big Pine and No Name Keys.
Timing: Between 11:00 pm Friday night and 9:00 am Saturday morning for the Upper Florida Keys, and from about 3:00 am to 8:00 am Saturday morning for the interior portions of the larger Lower Florida Keys. National Weather Service WFO Florida Keys
