Warning: Soil Amendment Services

The City of Key Colony Beach Building Department would like to notify our residents to be aware of companies providing “Soil Amendment Services”, especially seawall remediation. We are aware of companies providing information that foam injection or soil amendment will provide a repair to voids or washout behind seawall and underneath caps. Please be advised that we will require a Florida licensed contractor that is registered within our city to perform any work that may involve soil amendment or any remediation that may affect the structural integrity of a seawall or neighboring seawalls. We are very concerned that these companies are providing information that may promise an alternative solution that are not licensed or regulated companies within the state of Florida. We are happy to help homeowners that have questions or may want to engage services with a licensed Florida contractor providing Soil Amendment/Foam injection services.
