From Administrator Chris Moonis: IRMA RECOVERY 9.22.17 at 8:30AM

*If you are a property owner and have yet to return or do not have someone dealing with the sanitation, water infiltration, possible mold growth (the overall health and safety of your property, your neighbors and the island generally) you should make provisions to do so in the immediate future. The public health is of most concern on this issue. We will have more guidance on this early next week. Do not delay.
*The City is allowing basic cleanup and to make your house safe, secure and heathy. All reconstruction however requires you to use a licensed and insured contractor and you or them must come to City Hall prior to work starting. Permits may also be required but check first with the building code office; Ed or Gerard.
*The KCB Post Office is now open from 11:00am-4:00pm.
*Residents arriving needing their power turned on: come to City Hall, give address, name and telephone number. The Co-op will pick up list daily to restore service.
*City Hall will be open for recovery questions on Saturday between 8:30am and 3:00pm and Sunday between 8:30am and 2:00pm.
*The curfew in greater Marathon is now set from midnight to 6am until further notice.
*Make sure you have ID and proof of property ownership to enter KCB after dusk. We continue to have law enforcement at the bridge to control the island.
*The Circle K is open in KCB and generally has gas!
*Any freezers or refrigerators placed at the street must be securely duct-taped in order to be removed. City Hall has a limited amount of duct tape if you need it.
*Call FEMA at 1 800 621 3362 if you need transitional housing assistance.
*City Hall has received donations of food, water, and various supplies. If you need something, please come and see if anything is of use.
*There is staff in and around City Hall today for recovery-related questions. Be patient as we have NOT resumed regular business operations. We have asked for FEMA trailers as temporary office space while City Hall is repaired.
*A boil water notice remains in effect.
*We are now under a Conservation Advisory for water use. Water should still be primarily used for sanitation purposes however limited uses for cleaning homes due to storm damage. Low volume pressure washers encouraged! We do not believe the filling of swimming pools is permitted at this point.
