The final update to the Weather Brief concerning Tropical Storm Sara in the Western Caribbean is attached.
- Tropical Storm Sara is expected to continue a slow westward motion over the next day or so, followed by a more west-northwestward motion beginning late Saturday. On the forecast track, the center of Sara will continue to move near the northern coast of Honduras during the next day or so before approaching Belize, and then move onshore in Belize during the day on Sunday.
- A Coastal Flood Advisory continues in effect for all the Florida Keys for saltwater flooding of low elevation streets, parking lots, and some overtopping of low seawalls and docks around the times of high tide.
- All of the Florida Keys remain outside the 5-day forecast track cone, and there are no expected impacts from Tropical Storm Sara in the Florida Keys weather and coastal waters forecasts.
- Due to an increasing likelihood that Tropical Storm Sara will dissipate while moving over the Yucatan Peninsula early next week, and its remnants moving into an environment of unfavorable wind shear and cooler waters, no tropical redevelopment is expected over the Gulf of Mexico next week.
- This is the final weather brief for Tropical Storm Sara for the Florida Keys of Monroe County. Stay weather-aware and routinely check for forecast updates. See the latest from the National Hurricane Center on Sara at www.hurricanes.gov, and Florida Keys Weather at weather.gov/key.
